Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

An appropriate pH level is between 7.2 and 7.6.

An appropriate chlorine level is between 1.0 and 3.0 ppm.

100 to 150 ppm is recommended when using a stabilized chlorine. Using an unstabilized chlorine, the range is 80 to 120 ppm.

From the deep end of the pool, reach down to elbow depth (18") and collect 8 oz of water in a clean plastic container.

The sun's rays can destroy the chlorine in your pool. Stabilizer acts as a shield to extend the longevity of the chlorine.

We can also test your water for iron, copper, total dissolved solids, saturation index and calcium hardness.

We've created a couple of PDF guides on caring for your pool — view them online or print them out for your convenience.
